Traigh Beach at Arising

The Lord Lieutenant is very keen that we celebrate the contribution which so many people make to our area. The Honours system recognises people who have made significant achievements in public life and committed themselves to serving and helping others. They will usually have made life better for other people or be outstanding at what they do.

Any member of the public can nominate someone for an award and details can be found at   https://www.gov.uk/honours.  If you would like assistance to complete the process, please contact the Clerk to the Lieutenancy at clerk@invernesslieutenancy.org.uk

Anniversaries

Since 1917, the Anniversaries Office at Buckingham Palace has arranged congratulatory cards with a message from The King for couples celebrating their Diamond (60th), 65th and Platinum (70th) wedding anniversaries.  You can either apply direct via apply.royal.uk/Apply/ or download a Wedding Anniversary Application Form and apply by post.

If you would like the Lord Lieutenant or one of his Deputies to present the card, please email the Clerk to the Lieutenancy at clerk@invernesslieutenancy.org.uk.
